Ingmar began her career as a photographer. Later as a culinary student at the Cordon Bleu School in Johannesburg South Africa, she started experimenting with food and photography. After training with several food stylists, she made a career switch to food styling. Recipe development, a self-taught skill, came later. Ingmarâ€™s creativity and improvisational skills, give a feel of refreshing nonchalance to her work. â€œ If youâ€™re a food stylist â€“ you always create ways to hold the impossible together with toothpicks, rubber bands and sticky tape.â€Â Her appreciation of client needs and extensive knowledge and love of good food, make her easy to work with. Â Ingmar works on assignments for magazines, adverts and food packaging, commercials and feature films.
